The monsoon trough remains north of Delhi, limiting widespread rainfall. However, a fresh weather system over Pakistan around July 19 is expected to pull the trough closer to the capital.

As a result, light to moderate monsoon showers are likely between July 20 and 23, bringing some relief. Even then, rainfall is expected to remain below normal, making it difficult for Delhi to reach its average July rainfall.
