The reason for all this rain is the result of the remains of an earlier weather system coming closer.

There is a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, and a line connecting these two weather systems is causing a zone of rain.

This zone is moving in a southward direction and is close to Mumbai, which is why there might be more rain tomorrow.
