Mumbai Braces for Heavy Rain

Mumbai and the Konkan region have witnessed a fresh surge in monsoon activity.

After a dry start to June, the city ended the month with 516 mm rainfall, close to the normal average. July has also begun on a wet note, with over 400 mm of rain already recorded in the first four days.

Multiple weather systems, including an offshore trough, strong westerly winds and a developing low-pressure area, will keep heavy to very heavy rain active till July 8.
