Delhi is set for a dry and sunny spell following the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon on September 23.

While a western disturbance brought a few stray showers last weekend, no significant rain-producing weather system is expected over the region during the coming week.

The capital recorded 16% above-normal rainfall during the 2026 monsoon season, marking another wetter-than-usual season.

Recent snowfall over higher parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand has also brought cooler air to Delhi. Minimum temperatures have dropped to around 21°C, while daytime temperatures recently remained well below normal.

Temperatures are expected to gradually rise, with highs around 32°C. As October begins, Delhi can expect mostly pleasant and dry conditions, with cooler nights becoming more frequent.
