Twin Western Disturbances to Bring Brief Rain

A pair of Western Disturbances will affect North India next week, bringing short spells of rain and snow across hills and limited impact over plains.

The first system will pass on Thursday and Saturday morning, giving light to moderate rain and snowfall over mid and higher Himalayan reaches, while lower areas may see cloudy and misty weather.

The second system will influence weather between February 16 and 18. Hill states will see mild activity from February 16–17, clearing by February 18 morning.

Plains will experience scattered rain and thunderstorms mainly on February 17, covering parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and possibly Delhi.

Isolated showers may linger on February 18. Clear weather and rising temperatures are expected thereafter.
