Cyclone Arnab is expected to bring heavy rainfall and strong winds across Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and parts of central India over the next 24 hours.

Odisha may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall on 27 October, with isolated extremely heavy showers possible on 28 October.

As the cyclone moves inland, heavy rain is expected to spread across Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and eastern Madhya Pradesh on 28 and 29 October.

Wind gusts exceeding 100 km/h are possible near the cyclone's landfall location along the Andhra Pradesh coast. Odisha and Chhattisgarh may experience gusts reaching 70 km/h.

Heavy rainfall and strong winds could cause flooding, power cuts, crop damage and travel disruptions.

Residents should follow official warnings and avoid unnecessary travel.
