AQI in Delhi Worsens

Delhi woke up to a blanket of smog today as the Air Quality Index (AQI) plummeted to "Severe" levels.

The city's AQI hovered above 400 in multiple areas, including Anand Vihar and RK Puram, as cold weather and low wind speeds trapped pollutants close to the ground. Vehicles, construction dust, and stubble burning in nearby states have worsened the air quality.

Children, elderly, and those with respiratory issues must take extra precautions.

Authorities have urged the public to carpool, avoid crackers, and adopt sustainable practices to combat this growing pollution crisis.
