Arunachal, Assam, and Himachal Face Heavy Rain

Heavy rain expected to lash several states in the Northeast

IMD forecasts a prolonged spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall across Northeast and eastern India till August 13.

Arunachal Pradesh may witness extremely heavy showers on August 8, raising flood and landslide concerns.

Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Tripura are on alert for back-to-back heavy spells, with more rainfall expected August 12–13.

Himachal, Uttarakhand, and eastern UP may see increasing rainfall from August 10 onward. Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR will remain partly cloudy with light showers and highs of 36–38°C.
