Bengaluru is likely to witness a fresh spell of rain as the northeast monsoon prepares to arrive over southern India.

October is the city's second rainiest month, with an average rainfall of 186.4 mm. However, rainfall has remained limited so far, with dry conditions prevailing over the past week.

A cyclonic circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal is expected to bring increased rainfall across South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Bengaluru could experience heavy showers between October 17 and 19, 2027, followed by lighter rainfall until the middle of next week.

Cloudy skies and frequent showers will keep temperatures comfortable, with daytime highs around 29°C and nighttime lows near 18°C.
