Summer Forecast
Will Summer 2026 be Hotter than Usual?

We may witness a hotter-than-usual summer in 2026, with rising temperatures expected across several regions.

Seasonal outlooks indicate above-normal heat over Northwest, Central, and parts of East India, especially during April and May.

Early signs already showed a brief heat spike in early March before rain brought temporary relief. However, as Western Disturbances weaken, heat is likely to build again.

Frequent heatwave conditions may impact states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and parts of Maharashtra.

Nights may also remain warmer than usual, adding to discomfort. While occasional pre-monsoon showers may bring short relief, they will not significantly reduce overall heat. Residents are advised to prepare for prolonged hot conditions this summer.
