The first few days of February 2025 have been unusually warm, with both day and night temperatures staying above normal.

However, a change in weather is on the way, with rain expected over the next two days.

A western disturbance over North Pakistan and a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and Haryana will move eastward, bringing rain and thunderstorms to Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Clouds will gather tonight, and rain is likely to start past midnight, continuing into tomorrow with light to moderate showers. The weather will clear by the night of February 4.

January 2025 was drier than usual for Delhi, with only 6.5 mm of rainfall compared to the normal 21 mm. The upcoming spell may add around 5 mm of rain.

Day temperatures will drop, but minimum temperatures will stay in double digits for a couple of days before dipping to single digits from February 5 onward.

Fog will return between February 5 and 7, reducing visibility during early morning hours. Another rainy spell is expected around February 10-11.
