Florida, USA on Alert
Hurricane Milton Intensifies Ahead of Landfall

Hurricane Milton, a powerful Category 5 storm, is set to hit Florida's west coast on Wednesday night.

The storm briefly weakened after an Eyewall Replacement Cycle on October 8, when its tiny eye, just 4 miles wide, was replaced by a larger one.

Despite this, Milton quickly regained strength, posing a serious threat.

Florida residents should brace for dangerous winds, heavy rain, and severe flooding.

Milton is expected to expand as it crosses the warm Gulf of Mexico waters, increasing the size of its wind field.

The National Hurricane Center warns that Milton could be one of the most destructive hurricanes to impact west-central Florida.
