Hailstorm Alert for Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand

Several parts of Odisha saw light to moderate rainfall on Wednesday evening, with drizzle continuing in Bhubaneswar until Thursday.

Light rain is likely in the next four days due to a western disturbance and a trough line.

An Orange Warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Sundargarh, Jajpur, and Dhenkanal expecting severe thunderstorms, hail, and winds of 40-50 km/h.

Yellow Warning covers Cuttack, Kendrapara, Angul, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri and Ganjam for thunderstorms and lightning.

The IMD advises people to seek safe shelter and follow traffic guidelines. Farmers should use hail nets to protect crops.

In Jharkhand, rain and thunderstorms hit several districts on Thursday morning. A hailstorm alert has also been issued for the Eastern state. Take precautions as unstable weather continues.
