Heavy Rain Alert for Tamil Nadu

The low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal likely to form soon.

This system is developing due to an upper-air cyclonic circulation over the South Andaman Sea and nearby areas.

As a result, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in parts of Tamil Nadu on December 17 and 18, prompting to issue of an orange alert for the region.
