Weather experts expect heavy to very heavy rainfall, with isolated extremely heavy downpours in parts of Kerala, coastal and interior Karnataka, and coastal Andhra Pradesh & Rayalaseema.

Thunderstorms, lightning, squalls and gusty winds are also likely in southern regions.

While this pattern boosts soil moisture and benefits agriculture, it also raises concerns for flood or waterlogging, especially in low‑lying areas.
