Intense Weather Ahead
Heavy Snow & Rain in Northern Hills

The northern Himalayan states of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are facing a significant rain-snow deficit this January, with shortfalls of over 80%.

However, relief is on the horizon, as a series of western disturbances are set to bring heavy rain and snow from January 18 to 23.

Peak activity is expected between January 20 and 22, with popular tourist spots like Gulmarg, Manali, Shimla, and Dalhousie likely to witness heavy snowfall.
