Holi hai! Today we are celebrating the spectacular festival of Holi all over India! This is the special time to celebrate the triumph of good over evil and the beginning of the spring harvest season.

Holi also makes us finally forget about the winter and prepare for the hot, dry weather of the next few months before monsoon. You can already see the rising temperatures on our Temperature Radar!

On the first day of Holi, people traditionally gather around a bonfire to symbolically burn away the demoness Holika and to celebrate the power of good winning over evil, however, it is the second day of Holi that most of us love so dearly!

On the second day of Holi, people come together and throw colored powder into the air and at each other. For many who partake, Holi enables people to meet, play, laugh, forgive and forget and to repair broken relationships.

This Holi try to avoid chemical-based gulal and make use of old ways of making the colors for Holi yourself or purchase herbal gulal. It will not only protect you and your loved-ones from the harmful effects of hazardous colors on the skin, but also ensure toxins won't damage the environment.

We at Weather and Radar India wish you a very happy Holi 2022! Send us your Holi images!
