Cyclone Fengal Aftermath
Impact on TN and Puducherry

Heavy flooding witnessed in several parts of Tamil Nadu

Cyclone FENGAL recently hit the coasts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, bringing heavy rains and strong winds.

After crossing the coastline, it left a well-marked low-pressure area over north interior Tamil Nadu. This caused widespread rainfall, leading to water logging in urban areas and flooding in some rural regions.

India, especially coastal states, faces regular cyclones due to its geography. Awareness about cyclone preparedness, like staying updated on weather reports and following safety guidelines, is crucial to reducing their impact.
