Konkan Region on Alert

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Mumbai and parts of the Konkan region, warning of extremely heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.

Several districts in Maharashtra, including Raigad and Ratnagiri, are under orange alert.

The downpour is expected to intensify, potentially leading to waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and localized flooding.
