Mumbai continues to experience hot, humid and uncomfortable pre-monsoon weather, with very little rainfall so far this June.

Rainfall activity has remained scattered, with only traces reported in some areas.

A cyclonic circulation over the east-central Arabian Sea is supporting weather activity mainly over Goa and South Konkan.

As a result, Mumbai and nearby Alibag are expected to see only light and patchy showers until June 12. Moderate to heavy rain is likely over Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.

The Southwest Monsoon has advanced up to Sindhudurg and is expected to move further north in the next two days.

However, Mumbai may witness a slight delay in monsoon onset beyond its normal date of June 11. Better and more widespread monsoon showers are expected between June 14 and June 16.
