After heavy rains in July 2024, Mumbai has seen very little rain recently, with less than 5mm in the last week and only 23mm in the past two weeks.

However, rains are expected to pick up around the weekend between 24th and 26th August 2024.

A low-pressure area from the Bay of Bengal will move westward, increasing rainfall in Mumbai and along the Konkan Coast.

Another system over the Arabian Sea may bring some light rain but won't impact Mumbai much. Rainfall will ease by 27th August as the low-pressure system moves away.
