From October 15th to 17th, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh will experience heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, which may cause flooding and waterlogging in some areas.

With the Southwest Monsoon now withdrawing from most of India, the Northeast Monsoon is set to begin over southeastern regions by mid-October.

Interestingly, while the Southwest Monsoon brings rain to most of India, the Northeast Monsoon is crucial for Tamil Nadu, contributing over 50% of its annual rainfall.
