As October comes to an end, Gujarat continues to experience unusually warm weather, with summer-like conditions lingering across parts of the state.

Despite the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon, daytime temperatures remain high, particularly across Ahmedabad, Rajkot and other inland areas.

Clear skies, strong sunshine and dry weather are contributing to the October heat, sometimes referred to as the second summer.

On 28 October, Rajkot recorded 37.3°C, while Bhuj reached 38.2°C. Ahmedabad recorded 34.9°C.

According to the IMD, temperatures may gradually fall by 2–3°C in the coming days, bringing some relief as November approaches.
