Onset of Northeast Monsoon

The Southwest Monsoon is retreating rapidly from western and northern India, marking the season’s final phase.

A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is developing into a possible deep depression, likely to bring light to moderate rain along Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala coasts.

Meanwhile, parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka may also see scattered showers.

The onset of the Northeast Monsoon over South India is expected soon, signalling a shift in weather patterns.

As the withdrawal line progresses southward, dry conditions will spread across northwest India, while southern states brace for the next spell of rain and thunderstorms.
