Possibility of Downpour in Chennai

October is the second rainiest month for Chennai, following November, which averages 373.6mm of rainfall.

While the first week of October saw mild showers, conditions are shaping up for heavier rains in the coming days.

A weather system over the Bay of Bengal, near Sri Lanka, and another near Lakshadweep in the Arabian Sea are coming together to increase rainfall across Tamil Nadu.
