Delhi Rains
Relief from Heat and Humidity Likely

Delhi and nearby areas remained mostly dry over the weekend, with only isolated light drizzle.

Hot and humid weather pushed the feels-like temperature to 43–44°C, while the actual maximum stayed around 37°C.

A gradual change is expected from Tuesday as the monsoon becomes active again.

A combination of the monsoon trough, a depression over eastern India, a low-pressure area over Rajasthan and a Western Disturbance will increase rain across the region.

Moderate to heavy showers with thunderstorms are likely at several places between July 30 and August 2. The rain will bring down temperatures to around 32°C and provide much-needed relief from the heat and humidity.
