North India shivers under intense cold, with day temperatures plunging below 15°C in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and UP.

Some areas like Amritsar and Ganganagar barely touch 10°C. Thick fog and icy winds add to the misery.

This bone-chilling spell is expected to last for another 5 days. However, a western disturbance arriving on 27th January promises relief.

By 30th January, changing winds and clouds will finally break the grip of the cold wave, bringing rain and warmer days.
