This is much higher than usual for this time of year and has made the heat feel even more intense.

Delhi has now recorded its hottest day of 2025, with temperatures reaching 40.1°C in the Ridge area. The intense heatwave has gripped the city, far surpassing the normal seasonal temperatures.

Safdarjung, the city's official weather station, recorded 38.9°C, a staggering 7.4°C above average. The surge in heat is attributed to clear skies and dry conditions, causing temperatures to soar.
