Winter Rains Set to lash Punjab, Delhi

Northern plains, including Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, are set to receive winter rains on January 11.

However, Punjab may miss out on significant rainfall, with only light showers expected in a few areas like Pathankot and parts of the Malwa region near Haryana.

The state urgently needs rain, as January is usually a key month for winter rainfall.

Currently, Punjab faces a 90% rain deficit. After this spell, dry weather is expected for at least a week, making it harder to recover later.
