Daily life is likely to remain disrupted, with rail, road and air services facing major delays. The active low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal, strengthened monsoon winds and an offshore trough are sustaining the intense rainfall.

Authorities have advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel and stay alert. With favourable monsoon conditions expected to continue, Mumbai is likely to receive above-normal rainfall during July this year.
