Landslides in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh

A massive landslide hit Ropdu village in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, after three days of intermittent rain, forcing evacuation of nine houses.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) in parts of Himachal this week.

A fresh Western Disturbance may bring light rain and snow between March 24–28, with a broader wet spell likely over the next five days.

Temperatures are rising gradually, with Kukumseri at -3.1°C and Una recording 30.2°C.
