Delhi Sizzles on Hottest Day of the Year

Delhi recorded its hottest day of the year on June 10, with temperatures soaring past 44°C in several parts of the city.

The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for severe heatwave conditions until June 12.

Adding to the discomfort, the air quality dipped to the 'poor' category, making outdoor exposure risky. While residents await monsoon relief, the forecasts that meaningful rainfall and temperature relief are unlikely before mid-June.
