Delhi Rains to Continue Into Early August

Delhi received heavy monsoon rain for the second day in a row, causing widespread waterlogging and traffic disruption across the city.

Noida also saw heavy showers, leading to flooding at several key locations.

With 250.3 mm of rainfall recorded so far this July, Delhi has already crossed its monthly normal of 195.8 mm. This marks the eighth consecutive year that the city has received above-normal July rainfall.

Heavy showers, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are expected between August 1 and August 4. Localised flooding, waterlogging and traffic disruptions are likely in low-lying areas.
