Delhi and nearby NCR areas have seen only very light rain over the past three days, with Safdarjung — the city’s main weather station — staying mostly dry.

Other spots like Jafarpur and Narela got just a drizzle, while only the Pusa observatory recorded decent rainfall.

So far, Delhi’s rainfall this July is below normal, though the Palam airport area has already crossed its monthly quota.

Expect more light showers and occasional thunder over the next few days, but heavier rain could be on the horizon.

Bigger Monsoon Push from July 26 OnwardsThe monsoon trough — the key rain-bringing feature — is still close to Delhi and should bring more rain today and tomorrow.

After a brief lull on July 24–25, a low-pressure system from the Bay of Bengal will shake things up. This system will pull the monsoon trough southward, and starting July 26, rain activity will pick up again.

Delhiites can look forward to a wetter weekend and even heavier showers as July wraps up, offering a better chance to meet the month’s rainfall target.
