Alert in Bay of Bengal
Will the Cyclone Midhili Get to Form?

Will the deep depression in the Bay of Bengal intensify into a Cyclone? Will the deep depression in the Bay of Bengal intensify into a Cyclone?

A deep depression in the Bay of Bengal is moving towards north-northeast, maintaining a safe distance from the Indian coastline.

Favorable conditions may lead to marginal strengthening over the next 24 hours, with the potential to become a cyclonic storm, named 'Midhili.'

Despite moderate vertical wind shear, proximity to land may hinder rapid intensification.

The deep depression is forecasted to steer northeastward, parallel to the Odisha and West Bengal coastlines, ruling out a land crossing. The coastline is likely to avoid the storm's extreme impact.
