Why Heavy Rain Brings Annual Flooding

Assam is once again facing widespread flooding after days of heavy monsoon rain, with fresh rainfall expected to keep river levels high.

There is possibility of more rain over parts of the Northeast, increasing the risk of flooding and waterlogging.
