Mumbai to Turn Hotter and Humid

Mumbai has experienced a relatively mild April so far, with daytime temperatures staying between 31°C and 32°C, around 1-2 degrees below normal.

Even the recent peak of 33°C remains slightly under the seasonal average. However, weather conditions are set to change soon.

Typically, coastal Mumbai records average temperatures near 33°C during March to May, rarely crossing 40°C due to cooling sea breeze winds. In recent days, consistent sea breeze has kept temperatures in check.

A shift in wind patterns is expected over the next 3–4 days. Delayed sea breeze and changing systems may push temperatures beyond 35°C by the weekend, increasing humidity levels. Despite rising discomfort, heatwave conditions are unlikely.
