The combination of intense heat and polluted air can increase health risks, especially for children, elderly people and outdoor workers.

Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and parts of central India are witnessing scorching daytime temperatures above 45°C.

Residents recommended to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during afternoon hours and reduce outdoor activities. Weather experts say dry conditions may continue in many regions before possible pre-monsoon relief arrives later this month.
